Desegno Solutions is a one person design and web strategy firm based in Watertown, Massachusetts.
Desegno Solutions provides:
I am proud that the sites I produce comply with W3C's XHTML and CSS standards and are compatible with the accessibility requirements of section 508 amd WAI priority guidelines. I believe that all websites should follow these specifications to improve the user experience.
I also am a firm believer in interactivity. Users can react to what they see immediately on the Internet, such as writing to a discussion board or signing up for a mailing list. I can develop a range of tools to meet your needs, from a simple guestbook, to a full featured shopping cart system.
I provide polished and useful web sites to small and medium businesses and non-profit organizations. Since Desegno is a one person firm, there is no large overhead, and I can work within a reasonable budget.
You have a business, or a great idea for a new business. You want people to know about your business, then having website may be a good thing. But not all business will automatically benefit from having a website. I can consult with you on how the web may (or may not) help your business. I only take a project when I believe it will truly benefit your business.
I believe in a personal approach in customer service. Here's my motto: Let me be your IT/web department.
A native of Japan, my specialty is creating websites in both Japanese and English. I also provide translation and layout services for a reasonable budget.
I can provide solutions in xhtml/html and other world wide web front-end languages, dynamically generated contents, database, identity design, graphic design, web user interfaces, preparation of images, image compression, information archtecture, digital photography, and multimedia development.
I am also fully aware of issues, such as cross platform and multiple browser compatibility and search engine optimization.
But enough jargon.
I will help you with domain registration and setting up hosting, if you are starting, or work with your current set up. I provide affordable hosting for my clients.
Also, at the end of every project, I will train you how to update your new web site. After all, who wants to go to a site that hasn't been updated in months, and who wants to pay someone each time you need to make a small change?
Further, if you need help with setting up your home or small office network, minor pc repair, or dare setting up your own server, I will be your personal IT department.
I believe in using open source technology. If I use open source software, I give credit where credit is due, and submit my problem/solution to its community forum. Among the technologies I've used: PHP Nuke, Post-Nuke, PHPWebSite, MovaleType, PHProjekt, PHPlinks, PHPlists.
